ReGeneration, Vanguard’s High School Ministry, 2009 Holiday Schedule
- November 25- No Unplugged!
- November 29- 11-12:30 Worship in Theater 7 & ReGeneration teaching in the Dub
- December 2nd- At the Dub, 6:30-8- Tim teaching on giving up “stuff”, Announce Best Christmas Ever.
- December 6th- Sunday as usual, 11-12:30 ReGeneration in the Dub (Last ReGen Sunday of year)
- December 9th- Movie discussion night. Lead by Rob. At The Dub at 6:00-8:30. We will have popcorn.
- December 13th- No ReGeneration! Join us for “The Offering” family production in Theater 7. Meet at 10:30 for coffee at the XCafe & we’ll sit together.
- December 16th- ReGeneration Christmas Party- a Cowboy Christmas! Bring $4 & 2 canned goods for the poor. The party will be at the Klopfenstien’s house from 6-8. Please dress up as a cowboy or a cowgirl. Drop off and pick up is at 5212 Crackerbarrel Circle.Colorado Springs, CO 80917.
- December 20th- No ReGeneration! Meet at the XCafe at 10:30 for coffee & we’ll sit together for the 11:00 service.
- December 23rd- Meet at Mr. Biggs from 10-2 to help with “Best Christmas Ever” (Food provided). Mr. Biggs is at 5755 Mark Dabling Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO
- December 27th- No ReGeneration! Meet at the XCafe at 10:30 for coffee & we’ll sit together for the 11:00 service.
- December 30th- t.b.a. by November 30th.
- January 3rd- Sunday as usual, 11-12:30 Regeneration in the Restored Dub!
- January 6th- UnPlugged! 6:30-8 in the Dub.

ReGeneration…why the name change?
“When I started my stint as student pastor at Vanguard in June of 2006 our high school ministry was called “XFactor”. I had no idea what that meant…or how we would ever live that out. We changed everything about the ministry in the next year except the name.
This past year has been incredibly defining in our ministry. During this time I began to sense that God was raising up new servants of God, and HE was giving us a new identity. During Servant Tribe we discussed what name would fit who God is molding us into. This was one name that came up. We voted on a Sunday morning between two great names, and this was our final choice.
So…how does this define our identity?
1) We are a new generation rising up within the Church.
2) We bring fresh life & growth to others, inspiring them & encouraging them toward God.
3) We want to give a fresh vision of who Jesus followers can and should be. We are not just a “do over” generation in the Church.
4) We believe in the call to lead others as we help define how other Christ followers can see Regeneration in their own lives.
Come along on this journey with us, the journey of finding our name again.”
ReGeneration (-Noun): the restoration or new growth by an organism that has been lost, removed, or injured.
Mexico Mission’s Trip October 15, 2009
“Hello Parents-
Our Mexico mission trip is now officially slated for July 3rd-9th. We are VERY excited about this trip, and many students are excited. The trip will cost between $1,200 and $1,300, which means if your student is interested they need to start raising funds immediately. We aim to do this in three different payments throughout the year. IF YOUR STUDENT IN INTERESTED THEY MUST CONTACT ROB AND LESLIE SEETIN (Trip leaders) IMMEDIATELY. WE CAN ONLY TAKE 20 ON THIS TRIP AND SPOTS ARE GOING FAST!!! We WILL be making credit card payment available this year through the Vanguard website as well as check and cash. We will have more details out very soon, so stay tuned.

Back in the Dub on Wednesdays June 9, 2009
Wednesdays during the Fall will be from 6:30-8pm in the Dub. We will be breaking down Vanguard’s core values during this time (Leader, Lover, Equipper, Steward) and renaming them in our language. These nights will have fun, teaching, purposed activities and surprises along the way. Come on back through the Leopard room to the Upper room in the Dub and join us on the couches!
Servant Tribe… What is it? April 6, 2009

A group of students and volunteers gathering to help one another become the people God has made us to be. This involves some leadership roles, but it mainly involves who we are. We gather for dinner, prayer, serious discussion, and do some planning for upcoming events. THIS IS A TIME FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO DIG IN, NOT THOSE WHO WANT TO GOOF AROUND! Alan, Tim Harrington, and Brianna will be leading this. If you are interested in helping with these, please let me know. Meetings will either be once a month or once every two weeks.
